I will know no later than Tuesday of next week how many students I have. I have my own hard copy, but it’s in my bookshelves in Prescott, Arizona, and I am out here in Carmel for 8 months, where my husband got a job recently. Anyway, that’s odd agents aren’t interested in that. I think it’s an amazing and important book.

Thank you for using my book! Amazon has some used copies for sale, and so does Powell’s online. Also, I have some hardback copies I could sell you from my bookshelf. How many are you looking for? I really appreciate your note–I’ve been planning a second edition (the introduction is sadly out of date since we’ve been at war for some years now, for one thing, and then there’s so much amazing new memoir work), but haven’t found an agent interested in the idea yet. I am using your book, Survival Stories, for a memoir class I’m teaching here in Carmel, California, and was shocked to find out from our local bookseller that is out of print! Seriously? How can I get my hands on some copies? My students need to purchase it.
Why would they let such an amazing and necessary anthology go out of print?
